About us

MTV Staying Alive foundation has partnered with USAID, ShopsPlus and Johnson & Johnson to launch MTV Nishedh Live: Radio Show.

MTV Staying Alive Foundation has been committed to delivering mass media campaigns for young people to help them navigate through life’s tougher decisions and we were keen to bring this change to an Indian audience. After the success of MTV Shuga, that has grown to become a fan favourite across Africa and the world, picking up awards and most crucially having a direct impact on young people’s lives, we are eager to be launching this campaign in India.

MTV Nishedh Live is a campaign that will tackle taboo, uncomfortable and sometimes awkward topics to help improve sexual health and Tuberculosis outcomes in young people. It will speak to young people across India as they understand their choices to having safe intimate relationships, deal with peer pressure, discover the importance of contraception, and eradicate the pressing stigmas around tuberculosis and its treatment.

We aim to empower them to take control of their health, and well-being, by providing them with timely and relevant information that will help them make more informed decisions about their lives.
